Constucting the new rail bridge on the Western Bypass
The western by-pass crosses the main Bristol - Paddington railway line. This bridge was built alongside the embankment, with a the road leading up to it on either side. Then over a three day Christmas period the embankment was breached and the bridge slid sideways into the gap. The lines relayed and rail services restored.
