The Tourist Information Centre The Yelde Hall Market Place Opening Times Mon. - Sat. 9.30am - 5.00pm. Tel. 01249 665970. Chippenham Tourist Information Centre is in the Yelde Hall which dates from the fifteenth century.

The Yelde Hall was originally the Town Hall, but has also served as an Armory then much later a Fire Station and then the town museum until the new Museum & Heritage Centre opened in 2000. Since then the Grade 1 listed building has undergone major restoration. Locating the Tourist Information Centre in the Yelde Hall means visitors to Chippenham get the chance to start their stay in the town by seeing inside one of its oldest buildings. Not forgetting those residents who can't wait to get away, can call in there too! The TIC contains a wealth of information for both groups. There are leaflets, booklets and timetables for all the local attractions. The friendly staff can help by making room reservations and giving advice on what to see and do in and around the town.
